Praying Mantis and Japanese Maple
I found a little praying mantis egg sack in the field in Valley Forge National Park. I brought it home and put it in a glass jar on our windowsill. It stayed there over the winter until the spring and then one day the baby praying mantises hatched. About 200 of them. I took them outside and after a wonderful photo shoot let them go into our garden and the Japanese Maple Tree. And there they stay and grow and keep the bad bugs away.
