Red Tailed Hawk

I was watching this hawk as he swooped down right in front of me to catch a little mouse in the grass.  He got bothered by my clicking of the camera and so grabbed the grass where he thought the mouse was hiding and flew right past me.  I watched him fly away and…

I spent a few hours today with this beautiful red tailed hawk.  I watched him fly from a branch and catch the squirrel.  Afterwards he flew back up on another branch and we just traded stories for a while.
