I searched again at dusk for the owl and found him yet again!! And then on my way back to the parking lot through the woods, there was a little deer looking from the field into the woods where I stood silently and took her picture. Oh so fun!!

I didn’t get out today until about noon, but still it was so darn good. I walked the trail in the woods off of Ship Road to the end. First I found the damselfly, then the wood frog, then the wrens discussing life, then the cardinal grabbing a berry, and finally a whole slew…

It was another cold day in the woods in Charlestown Meadows today, but the spring is coming and the bluebirds and the deer came out to play.

On my way up the walk through the woods this afternoon, I looked up and saw not one, but two of these beautiful male Scarlet Tanagers. They quickly spotted me and flew high up in the tree tops, but what a thrill for that minute.
