On my way up the walk through the woods this afternoon, I looked up and saw not one, but two of these beautiful male Scarlet Tanagers. They quickly spotted me and flew high up in the tree tops, but what a thrill for that minute.

I went back to the woods today looking for the oven bird and found so many of them. Here area a few of my favorite photos and a little video from this mornings walk.
