Green Heron Headed This Way

It’s a Jungle Out There
This big eyed robber fly sat on the edge of a leaf until he spotted a little white fly. He jumped off the leaf, impaled the fly, jumped back on the leaf and….. sorry to say this….sucked the juices from the poor little fly. Then he dropped the fly and wiped his hands. Oh…

Osprey and Fish (click for full effect)
I keep trying to get a good shot of the Osprey as it carries its prey home for breakfast. It is amazing to see these birds lift huge fish from the water. Just wish I could get a little closer with a little better exposure. I’ll keep trying if you keep looking.

Bald Eagle with a Little Friend
I went to John Heinz Nature Preserve early this morning looking for the Osprey, when an EAGLE showed up. He flew over my head and then I noticed he had a little friend (perhaps a swallow) flying with him. Click on the photos to get a good look at the Eagle and his friend.
